You wouldn't believe me if I told you

World, meet Taross. Taross, world.
Taross is, was, claimed to be, a Ukrainian boxer with ties to the Russian mafia. He had recently been in jail and upon being released had gotten involved in a wildly charismatic church in Kiev. He would follow Tom and I around for hours telling semi-coherent stories that included the word 'brother' more than any three other words combined. I'll never know whether or not he was on drugs.

Train, train don't go away

The central train station in Budapest. Have you ever heard Hungarian spoken? It's like Venutian, which as you can imagine is very strange to the ear.
